Semester At Sea

This ship with a length of 180 metres is not a normal cruise ship. On the Explorer all the passengers are students. Thanks to this ship they can learn how it is to live at sea by sailing one semester on the ship. This ship was together in the port with 'The World'. This ship was berthed in Antwerp from 20 until 23 July 2005.

The World is a residential-ship. This means that all the cabines on the ship are appartments that you can buy or rent. But you will have to pay a lot before you can call it yours! The ship has a length of 170 metres and can accommodate 200 passengers. Each year the ship makes one big voyage around the world. The ship was built in 2002. This ship was berthed in Antwerp from the 23th until the 27th of June 2005.

This ship was originally part of the Peter Deilmann Reederei-fleet under the name 'Berlin'. One day the ship was sold to Metropolitan Tours and it got the name 'Orange Melody'. At the moment the ship sails as 'Spirit of Adventure'. This ship was berthed in Antwerp 6 August 2005.
